DDx allows students to browse the 6 cases in the open case library freely, but your assigned course cases are only accessible through your specific course link. Students who navigate directly to the DDx platform without this link will see the general library, not your assignments. Sharing the correct link is one of the most important steps in course setup.
Finding your course link
1. Log in to DDx with your faculty account.
2. Navigate to your course dashboard and select the course you want to share.
3. Look for the Share Course Link. Copy the link provided.
Sharing the link with students
• Post the link in your LMS (Canvas, Blackboard, Brightspace) — ideally in a prominent place like the course home page or syllabus
• Include it in your welcome email or first-day materials
• Remind students verbally in class — students often miss this step and browse the general library instead
What students see when they use the link
• Clicking the course link takes students directly to your course view
• They'll see only the cases you've assigned, along with any deadlines you've set
• Their progress and scores will be recorded in your faculty dashboard
If a student completed the wrong cases
If a student completed cases from the global library instead of your course, those completions won't appear in your grade dashboard. The student will need to complete the assigned cases again through the course link. Going forward, resend the course link and remind the class.
